Zakat on gold is generally due once you hold 85 grams of pure gold or more for a full lunar year. The 85 grams is counted in pure gold, not in the weight of the pieces. If the pure gold you hold is less than 85 grams, you are below the mark.
A piece's weight is not its pure gold. Purity is written in karats, out of 24, or as fineness, in parts per thousand. 24K is fine gold, 22K is 916 and 18K is 750. The pure gold in a piece is its weight times its purity. A 10 gram 18K chain holds about 7.5 grams of pure gold. Add the pure gold of the pieces together, and you have the weight to compare with the 85 grams. Whether worn jewellery goes into that total is the question under Jewellery, below.
A lunar year is twelve lunar months, a little shorter than the calendar year. The holding is counted over that year.
The rate is 2.5 percent.
Scholars differ on jewellery you wear. For your own situation, ask a qualified scholar.
