Refunds & Cancellation

How to cancel, what happens to your access, and when we refund. Short version: you can cancel any time in two taps, and you keep what you have already paid for.

Nothing is charged during beta

FiLot is free for everyone while it is in beta. Paid plans begin on 1 December 2026. Until that date no payment is taken, so there is nothing to cancel or refund.

Cancelling

You can cancel a paid plan at any time from Settings → Plan & billing in the app. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. If you cancel on day three of a month you have paid for, you keep full access until day thirty.

If you paid a year in cryptocurrency there is nothing to cancel. It was a single payment, not a subscription, so nothing renews and nobody can charge you again. It simply runs to the end of the year you bought. We will remind you a month before it ends. After that, Pro moves to the free Lite plan, and Max moves to Pro free for a week so you have time to decide whether to keep it.

You do not need to contact us, and we will not ask you to explain why. Nothing you have saved is deleted when you cancel: your gold records and history stay in your account.

Refunds

You have 14 days to change your mind. If you ask within 14 days of paying, we refund you in full, whether you paid by card, PayPal or cryptocurrency. One rule, any payment method.

After 14 days we do not refund part of a period you have already started, because you keep the access you paid for until it ends.

Separately, and with no time limit at all, we refund you in full if the fault is ours:

  • you were charged after cancelling;
  • you were charged twice for the same period;
  • a paid feature did not work for a significant part of your billing period and we could not fix it; or
  • you were charged in error by us.

Email [email protected] from the address on your account and tell us what happened. We aim to respond within two business days. Approved refunds go back to the payment method you used.

Refunds are reviewed and released by a person, not automatically. Once approved, a card or PayPal refund usually takes five to ten business days to appear on your statement. A cryptocurrency refund arrives within minutes of us sending it, though the review before that still takes the same couple of days.

If you paid with cryptocurrency

A refund is sent back to the wallet address the payment came from, in the same asset. We refund the amount paid, not the value in another currency. If the market has moved since you paid, what you receive back may be worth more or less than it was then. That is a property of the asset, not a charge by us.

Please make sure the wallet you pay from is one you still control. We cannot recover funds sent to a wallet you no longer have access to.

Price changes

If we change the price of a plan you are on, we will tell you before it takes effect and you will have the chance to cancel first. A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for.

Failed payments

If a payment fails, for example an expired card or not enough balance in your wallet, we will let you know and keep your plan active for a short grace period so you can fix it. If it is still unpaid after that, your plan winds down the same way a cancellation does. We do not retry indefinitely and we do not send anything to debt collection.
